FCCU Expansion Joints

Replacement of three 2-ply FCCU Expansion Joints for a refinery located in the USA. kompaflex was responsible for designing, welding, and testing of the expansion joint. Refractory installation & final inspection with presence of end user happened at HSI.

Refractory lined Reactor Spent Catalyst Standpipe Expansion Joint DN 1380 / 55 OD
Installation length: 4000 mm

Reactor Overhead Expansion Joint DN 1400 / 54.5 OD
Universal Gimbal type with installation length: 8000 mm

Refractory lined Water Seal Drum Inlet Expansion Joint DN 1680 / 66 OD
Angular Hinged type with installation length: 1250 mm

Design codes: ASME B31.3 / EJMA

Tests: Digital X-Ray / Helium Leak Testing / Pressure Testing / PT – Penetrant Testing / VT – Visual Testing
